Dear Friends and Family,



The University of Wisconsin- La Crosse Water Ski Team has defended their title as Midwest Regional Champions for the second consecutive year and will be heading down to Louisiana for the 2012 Collegiate Waterski Nationals!!! This will be the team’s second time ever having the privilege of competing at this National level.
Dating back to 1999, the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse has provided students with an opportunity to ski competitively in the sport of waterskiing in three events; slalom, trick, and jump. This experience has allowed members to be involved in a recognized club sport as well as provide opportunities to continue to be involved in the world of waterskiing outside of college.

Our organization promotes teamwork and responsibility. We have monthly meetings throughout the academic year, with practice and tournaments held in the fall and spring. We travel to tournaments held throughout the Midwest with the hopes of qualifying for the National Championships held each year in the fall. We take pride in representing the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in sportsmanship and in being an active member of the community.

Currently, we are in the midst of our 2012 competitive season and have grown tremendously as a team competitively.  As of now, we are ranked fourth in the nation and have gone undefeated in our tournaments this season. We will be heading to this year’s colligate nationals in Zachary, Louisiana October seventieth through the twenty-first and would like to graciously ask for your help and encouragement during our journey.

Being a club sport, we receive limited funding from the University. Our funds go towards our boat, travel, equipment, tournament fees and much more. At this time, we are asking for your support in our team’s fundraising efforts towards our trip to nationals. Your donation or any contribution will significantly help us achieve our goal for our team.
